basICColor Display calibration and profiling software,
how to download and activate the demo

HELP WITH DOWNLOADING DISPLAY SOFTWARE FROM COLOR-SOLUTIONS:
[includes activating licences]

(Please read these instructions fully before starting the procedure)

basICColor software licencing, both for demo and for full licences works by using a machine code, for the machine which the basICColor application is running on. That code is generated automatically when you connect to the color-solutions website.

Here's how to do it

1: click here to go to color-solutions and download a 14 day basICColor Display demo

2:
you'll be asked to fill in a registration form. (At this point write down the password and user ID you enter and keep it safe).

3:
complete the registration form, close the web page.

4:
next you will receive an email with a confirmation link. Click the link in the email and you will be taken to a web page confirming your registration - and where you can you can login (using the password you set up earlier).

5:
after login
go to downloads
download the "basICColor Display" software on your computer [Mac or Windows version]. Once that's complete close the basICColor webpage.

6:
install and Launch the "basICColor Display" Application: you will see a window with an option to click "14 day tryout". Please click it.

this way the machine you're using connects to the color-solutions website and the "machine id code" for that specific computer is sent automatically. The code is used in the licence file which will be generated for that particular machine.

NOTE:
how this works:

On the website you request the licensing file required for a 14-day tryout period.

The Machine-ID field in the online form is automatically filled out with the Machine-ID of the computer from which you sent the request.

If you want a 14-day tryout licensing file for a different computer than the one you use to connect to the internet - please enter its machine-ID manually on the website
(you'll find the "machine id code" in the upper left corner of the licensing window when launching the basICColor product on the machine it will be used upon).

7:
on the color-solutions website enter: the ID and password you used at registration click: log in

8:
select the relevant operating system [Mac or Win]
select "basiccolor"
select basICColor Display
click submit
9:
download the relevant - - - .lic "licence file" to your computer
place the 14 day "licence file" in the same sub folder as your basICColor Display application software.

10: Start the application, if the license is not now temporarily activating the software demo, you may need to click on and navigate to the basICColor application folder to the basICColor application where to find the licence file.

11. You are now ready to use the application in 14 day demo mode.
